This is to inform you that as part of the review of our currently available charge codes and their usage, we’ve identified a number of charges that will be decommissioned with effective 15-Jan and which subsequently will be disabled from usage in our systems. This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to define the Maersk product catalogue, and we will continue with a more thorough review of our surcharge portfolio also within 2023, with the ambition of aligning the charges available with our product ambition.
The following reasons have been considered for decommissioning charges:
- Low or zero charge usage (small number of shipments, total low revenue generated by the charge),
- Definition overlap with other charges that exist in our portfolio,
- Actual charge usage different than the charge name/description indicate.
The decisions to decommission/replace the charges have also been discussed/agreed with the IPMs where there are currently tariffs present in AFLS or charges are applied in GCSS – for the main contributing countries.
Below listed table Intermodal surcharges will be decommissioned W.E.F 15-Jan -2023. Please be informed this is applicable to Maersk & Sealand brands.
